Mobile Information Platform - Extension of MMS

Mobile information platform is the logical extension of MMS. It can be used effectively in icon and menu based applications on a number of mobile information devices. For example, a traditional menu driven user interface provides a long list of functionality which the user has to scroll to locate while graphical user interface provides icons for mouse or touch screen selection. The tradtional interface requires the user to press many keys or conditional functionality with the accessing screen. "Matrix mapping system" on the other hand requires only a few keystrokes or movements of the joystick for a large number of functions to be accessed without requiring any precise cursor movements. This shortens the time to select features and functions. Mobile Information Platform will become increasingly useful as the next generation of mobile devices incorporate with more features and functions.
